Before dry-out
Confirm mixing water, placement records, lining thickness, curing time, venting, anchors and any repair interfaces before heat is applied.

Why heating rate matters
Rapid steam generation can create damaging internal pressure. Geometry, thickness, permeability, water content and heat source all influence safe removal.
- Avoid unapproved schedule shortcuts
- Measure the lining, not only the furnace atmosphere
- Plan holds and controlled ramps for the actual system
- Keep an emergency response plan for abnormal behavior
Agree responsibility
The material supplier, installer, dry-out contractor and plant should agree the schedule, instrumentation, sign-off points and decision authority before the shutdown.
