Define the furnace zone before selecting the product route

Coke-oven projects emphasize geometry, load and heat transfer
Coke-oven packages can include many special shapes and interlocking parts. Wall alignment, chamber geometry, joints, dimensional accumulation and pallet sequence are therefore part of performance, not only construction details.
Dense or high-thermal-conductivity routes may enter selected designs, but conductivity must be stated with its test temperature and method. It should not be reduced to a marketing label or assumed campaign-life claim.

Glass-furnace projects add impurity and defect considerations
Glass-furnace selection must consider vapor and alkali exposure, spalling, possible stones or inclusions and compatibility with adjacent materials. A suitable non-contact crown or superstructure product should not be presented as a glass-contact material without separate evidence.
Factory materials identify conventional, calcium-free and zero-expansion routes for technical review. Their current availability and exact zone suitability must be confirmed against the furnace design and glass process.

Coordinate expansion, mortar and heat-up in both applications
Silica refractory behavior depends on mineral conversion and temperature history. Brick data, joint allowance, mortar, structural restraint and the approved heat-up plan form one system.
Do not use a generic online heating rate as an operating instruction. The furnace designer, owner and responsible engineering team must approve the project-specific schedule, monitoring points and stop criteria.

Ask every bidder to quote the same technical scope
Use separate RFQ sections for product properties, shapes, inspection, construction interfaces and delivery. Historical tables can guide questions, while the bid must identify the current manufacturer, current grade and guaranteed limits.
Require a deviation list. This makes a lower-priced offer with different methods, drawings, inspection or packing visible before award.
